- Dimensions: feather 4cm x 1cm at widest point
- Hooks: Hypoallergenic (silver in colour)
- Made from PLA (3D printer waste) in Christchurch, NZ by Remix Plastic
- Each feather is unique with its own colours (and blemishes)
The Huia is a NZ native bird with stunning, white-tipped feathers. In pre-European times only high-ranking chiefs and their whanau wore the tail feathers in their hair.
The Huia species became extinct around the early 1900s. It is a reminder of the importance of conservation work which Tiritiri Matangi Open Sanctuary is an example of.
