This card is created by local artist Vivien Davimes, the design is taken from her original prints. The kererū & nīkau can be found on Tiritiri Matangi Island, the birds love to eat the nectar from the flowers and the red berries are also an important food source for the birds - a favourite of the kererū.

"I am a fine art printmaker, working from my studio at Waiake on Auckland's North Shore.

I am very fortunate to have a studio close to the sea, with wonderful views of the Hauraki Gulf. This proximity to the coastline continues to feed my creativity. I am passionate about our native birds, seabirds, our oceans, the seashore with its flora and fauna, and all the events that play out upon our water. The majority of my work reflects this. Currently, I am working on a series of New Zealand’s native birds to bring awareness to their fragility from human impact, environmental factors and close development to their breeding/nesting sites."
