30th Birthday Dinner

Date posted: 06-Sep-2018

Please join us in celebrating the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Supporters of Tiritiri Matangi at a special dinner to be held on Saturday 13th October at the Ellerslie Convention Centre. The evening will begin at 6.30 pm with a buffet dinner and hot carvery from 7 pm.

Lou Sanson, Director General of the Department of Conservation, will be our guest speaker.

The Centre is fully licensed so bring some cash or cards if you wish to purchase alcohol.

There will be a silent auction of a painting by Sandra Whyte with proceeds going to the Island.

We will also have a comments book where you may record your thoughts and feelings about our wonderful Island and the people involved in its restoration.

Tickets are $80 and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority for current financial members of the Supporters.

We’ve changed the booking/payments process from that in Dawn Chorus. Our preferred method is via direct debit to our bank account:

Bank: ASB

Account: 12-3059-0283520-00

Name: Supporters of Tiritiri Matangi Incorporated

Particulars: 30th Dinner

Reference: Your name

(Alternatively, you could pay via the website, by clicking on ‘donations’, enter your name, amount and credit card details, and put ‘30th dinner’ in the Organisation field. If you choose this option, please email secretary@tiritirimatangi.org.nz to let Gloria know )

We also aren’t issuing tickets – if you’ve booked and paid, simply turn up on the night and we’ll check you off our list.

How to get there: the Ellerslie Convention Centre is in the main stand of the Auckland Racing Club, off Green Lane East. If coming from the motorway, take the Greenlane exit, north towards Remuera. Turn right at the first set of traffic lights, right at the first roundabout, then left at the next roundabout which is by the Novotel. Proceed ahead through the Avenue of Palms and through the Racing Club gates. The Events Centre is straight ahead, with parking a bit further along. For a map, go to
