A small leaved shrub growing to 5m.tall in forest from sea level to about 900m.

Leaves: thin, membranous and quite rounded, 9-10mm long and 7-10mm wide with a pointed end. The leaves have a distinctive network of veins forming loops.

Berries are dark purple or black.
